(Telephone conversation with favorite nephew. We don’t really talk about how he is my favorite, but it is a generally understood agreement in my family. He, on the other hand, openly declares me his favorite aunt.)
Kristin: Did you know that I moved into a new townhouse, and Matt and I have a pool?
Nephew: You DO?! Is it as big as Grandma’s pool in Arizona?
Kristin: Yes. I think it might be bigger. And we have THREE hot tubs.
Nephew: Maybe you should start swimming laps and become a professional swimmer for a job.
Kristin: Do you think that I could get a job as a professional floater?
Nephew: No. (Cue awkward silence.) Hey! Do you wanna spend the night at my house when you visit?
Kristin: Okay!
He must love you very much.
How are you liking your new home? Have you had a chance to explore the neighborhood much?
He does love me very much. I love him very much! Since conception, I think. We like it here in Palm Springs, a lot. A big improvement over the OC.
So cute! Nephews are soooooo awesome Assad do such a great job of bringing a smile to your face.
I love my nieces and nephews. Nine of them ages 10 through 2!
Professional floater … now there’s a resume-filler. I love how he changes the subject after that. Very diplomatic (and cute).
I love floating in water. Love, love, love it. And I love that it is hot enough to float here. Nephew is a very diplomatic little guy.
