CD What?

I got a positive OPK this morning. On CD 11. In shock, I checked my cervix and it was soft and open and producing some nice mucus. Fertility Friend says I am to ovulate sometime between CD 11 and CD 13. This is bananas. With and without Clomid my typical ovulation day is right at CD 19. This is so fun! It is so fast! It is like a whirlwind! I love Femara!

I need to call my RE and see if and how this changes things. I wasn’t scheduled to go in until tomorrow morning for the monitoring ultrasound. OMG! What if we trigger today and do the IUI tomorrow? This is such uncharted territory. Is it possible to ovulate too soon? CD 12?

I must say, after months and months and months of 32-35 days cycles, this feels like nothing short of a miracle. Even though we aren’t moving forward on the path I would prefer, moving forward on the expedited, moving path, much like the walkways at an airport, is really quite refreshing. Essentially, we are able to cut out one entire week from my cycle. At this rate, instead of 11 cycles per year, I will have 13.5 cycles per year. That is three extra opportunities to make a baby per annum. That’s fun.

  1. Femara rocks.

And I can personally state that cd12 is not too soon to ovulate. I ovulated on cd 11 and got a BFP ten days later.

Good luck! Keeping everything crossed for you! :)

    • It IS so annoying. I once was on an online forum with a woman that had a 23 day cycle. She lapped me twice. She then got pregnant and I recused myself and moved over to the IF world.

  2. Its bananas! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!

Ahem sorry. Gwen Stefani moment. Anyways I’m so glad Femara is kicking ass and taking names! I’ve never tried it personally but I hear good things. I’m hoping it produces some excellent results for you!

  3. That’s great! I’ve never been on femara so no idea there, but on my succesful cycle (on injectables) I triggered CD12 and had my IUI CD13. So I definitely don’t think it’s too soon!
