I learned about charting by reading Toni Weschler’s Taking Charge of Your Fertility, and, since beginning my charting odyssey, I’ve found it indispensable in figuring out my hormonal patterns and cycles. Ovulation Predictor Kits (OPKs) have a record of being unreliable for women with PCOS. Either we get a whole slew of positive OPKs, or we don’t see any positives, at all. I fall within the latter. However, I know I am ovulating because I see a clear and consistent thermal shift that is sustained over a period of 14 days, followed by my period. I highly recommend charting for women that are confused about their cycles and what their body is doing.
I’ve been charting since October of 2010, but I only have data on Fertility Friend through January of 2011. To view my chart, click here.
