Grain.

I’m going to go against the grain today and post an image not of wood or wheat, but of rock. I was completely unfamiliar with the geography of Southern California when we moved here two years ago. I didn’t expect the mountains to be so large and snow-capped. In fact, I didn’t really expect mountains at all, especially after living in Colorado. Those are mountains, and I expected the “mountains” to be mountains in name only. Yet, the mountains of Southern California are not insignificant. The largest peak is San Jacinto at just over 10,000 feet.
